This year's dinner marks the 50^thanniversary of the General Strike of 1969, and the gaoling of Victorian tramways union leader Clarrie O’Shea for defying the Federal Government’s draconian ‘penal powers’.

Guest speaker at the dinner will be Leader of the OppositionThe Hon Anthony Albanese MP, and our host for the night will be actor and comedian Tahir.
