E2026/57 - Election of All RTBU Offices

In line with the RTBU's rules, a general election of all Offices will be held this year, conducted by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

Members may use this page to access relevant notices, and general election information.

Nomination Period

Nominations, which must be in writing and comply with the RTBU's rules, may be made from 9:00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on 6 July 2026.

Nomination forms can be downloaded by visiting aec.gov.au/ieb and selecting the relevant election or by contacting the Returning Officer.

Returning Officer Contact Details

The AEC has appointed two Returning Officers to conduct the scheduled election.

For any enquiry related to the election of National Offices, New South Wales and Queensland Branch offices, please contact Ishtiaq Ahmed (Returning Officer) or Catherine Budrodeen (Assistant Returning Officer).

For any enquiry related to the election of Victorian, Tasmanian, Western Australian and South Australian/ Northern Territory Branch offices, please contact Taylah Grillo (Returning Officer) or Shehan Liyanage (Assistant Returning Officer).
