At the workplace level, we have been high-profile campaigns for better wages and conditions for workers at places like:

This edition also includes a new section, Memory Lane, which will look back at some of the ground-breaking campaigns and achievements of our historic union. Our first Memory Lane article recalls the campaign for women to be employed as bus drivers - which culminated in the employment of June Lusk as Sydney’s first female bus driver. And don’t miss the fantastic profile of Laurence Hewson, the RTBU Delegate who has become known as the ‘Voice of Flinders Street’.

Producing this magazine is a source of pride for all of us at the RTBU National Office. Our members not only stand up for the rights of workers, they also stand up for their communities. They inspire us every day.

I hope you enjoy reading about them too.
