On Wednesday 2 November, bus drivers around the country will drive with their lights on in a mark of respect for fallen Brisbane bus driver Manmeet Alisher.  Many will also wear black armbands.

Rail, Tram and Bus Union (RTBU) Assistant National Secretary (Tram and Bus) Chris Preston today said the RTBU wanted to show respect, but also highlight the wider issue of violence against public transport workers.

“The shock and outpouring of grief across our community continues, and this is our way of saying we won’t forget,” Mr Preston said.
